Ali is a popular South Indian actor who has acted in more than 790 films in Bollywood and the Tamil and Telegu film industries.

Early life and career

Ali was born in a poor family in Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh, India. His father was a tailor and his mother was a house wife. Ali developed a passion for acting since childhood. When he heard that renown director Bhagyaraja was looking for new child artists to act in his movie Seethakoka Chiluka, Ali went to Chennai and attended the screening at Bhagyaraja's office. Bhagyaraja was pleased with Ali's performance and gave him his first film role.

As a child artist, Ali had acted in a variety of movies but as he grew older, he was no longer suitable for child roles and roles stopped coming his way. But he held on to the film industry Chennai and waited for a breakthrough role.
This made him more focused on his career and thus, Ali started his second innings in Tollywood, as a comedian.

It was director S. V. Krishna Reddy who had given him the much needed break with comic roles in his movies. Even though no suitable roles were present , S. V. Krishna Reddy used to create new roles for Ali. Mr.Reddy suggested Ali to have his own style of dialogue delivery.Ali developed his own style and in this way a new comedy modulation was born which created waves in the cinema industry, which was popularly known as Chaata'. This was developed with Alis own way of pronunciation. This became an instant hit and opportunities started flooding Ali.

Ali later had a string of huge success for a couple of years as a comedian hero which only a few like Rajendra Prasad, Mohan Babu and Chandra Mohan had achieved turning him into a common face in the late 90's, which was a revelation. He had block busters with his mentor and director S. V. Krishna Reddy which were made on a low budget, which made him achieve new heights which no other comedian could.

Biography
Venu started his career with the movie Swayamvaram. Unlike most of the new comers who take time in establishing themselves, Venu bagged Nandi Award for that movie. This tall and handsome hero went on to win the hearts of Telugu film audience with his ease in dialogue delivery, timing, expressions and clear portray of his emotions.

Though Venu became a hero with Swayamvaram, his first film was with Barathiraja which stalled after a brief period of shooting. Venu is the nephew of ace director B.Gopal. It is interesting to know that he is launched by a group of his friends rather than his contacts with the movie world. Venu, Shyamprasad, sai and Prabhu are friends during their Engineering at Dharwad Engineering college. It is Venu's dream to become a hero. He tried with lot of directors and producers for a role. He got a chance to work with Barathiraja. However, the movie was stalled. So the friends decided to work things out on their own. S.P.Entertainments banner is formed for the same. Venkata Shyamprasad started this banner to launch venu as hero. The other two friends are part of the design and planning team. That's how Swayamvaram happened for Venu.

Venu won the boxoffice once again with Chirunavvutho. G.Ramprasad, who earlier worked with B.Gopal as an assistant director is roped in to work with Venu for Chirunavvutho. This movie is again produced by S.P.Entertainments. Chirunavvutho is one of the milestones in Venu's career. Music by Manisharma also proved to be a big hit.

Having two good hits in the early stages of his career, Venu landed up with a bunch of offers. Though some of the movies failed at box office, his latest Hanuman Junction and Pellam Vurelthe proved hits at the box office.
