SHRUTI HASSAN TRYING HER LUCK IN BOLLYWOOD |
So, that’s why Kamal’s daughter, Shruti Haasan, backed out of the Madhavan movie – she’s debuting in a Bollywood movie with Aamir Khan’s nephew, Imran Khan. Titled Luck, its directed by Soham Shah who made Kaal. According to some Mumbai tabloids the director met her in Chennai and she liked the script but before signing on made sure her father gave the go-ahead.
Luck will also star Sanjay Dutt and Mithun Chakravarthy. Shruti will be in a lot of action scenes. The director has said, “We wanted to cast a new girl opposite Imran and Shruthi seemed perfect for the role. We required a girl who would look innocent as well as convincing while doing the action sequences.” Action director Allan Amin will tutor Shruti. Shooting is said to start in South Africa around June 8th. The music will be scored by none other than the composer of Chak De – Salim Suleiman.

MANSOOR ALI KHAN INJURED IN MALLANNA SHOOTING |
Mallanna (Kanthaswamy in Tamil) a bilingual film, Vikram- Shriya starrer 
is progressing and should be ready for release before this year end. This film being directed by Susi Ganesan came in for a stop when its villain actor Mansoor Ali Khan was involved in a small accident at the shooting spot.
The crew was shooting at Mahabalipuram beach when Mansoor was riding on a horse having a look at the foreigners who were sun bathing. Unexpectedly Mansoor fell down and had fractured his right hand. He was rushed to the nearby hospital where he was treated. The doctors have advised him rest and he would be resuming shooting after a while.
