SRIVIDYA |
Srividya
Born 1953 July 24
Chennai, Tamil Nadu,India Flag of India
Died 2006 October 19
Trivandrum, Kerala
Parents Krishnamurthy
M. L. Vasanthakumari
Srividya was a leading South Indian Film actress of the 1970s, 1980s, 1990s and early 2000s, in addition to being a good singer. In the latter part of her career, she concentrated on malayalam films. Her brilliant portrayals as a mother in many films were highly acclaimed. Srividya's personal life was full of tragedies. She fought against all odds with dedication in her work until she died of breast cancer.Srividya was born on 24 July 1953 at Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India to Tamil film comedian Krishnamurthy and Carnatic classical singer M. L. Vasanthakumari. She had a brother, Sankararaman. Her father had to stop acting in the year she was born because of a disease which affected his facial musclesHer family fell into financial crisis. Her mother worked long hours to meet the family's financial needs. Srividya once reportedly said that her mother didn't even have time to breastfeed her.[Srividya debuted in acting very early in age. When her parent's marriage faced problems due to financial difficulties , Srividya's youth was blighted. She got a marriage proposal from a scientist based in the U.S., but the marriage did not materialize due to financial problems faced by her familySrividya launched her career in Malayalam films with a dance scene in Kumarasambhavam , directed by P. Subramanyan. She played a heroine in the film Chattambikkavala opposite Sathyan. She gained public attention in Chenda, directed by Vincent.
In mid-1970s she became busy in the Tamil film industry. She acted in films such as Sollathan Ninakkiren and Apoorva Raagangal, both directed by K. Balachander. The film Apoorva Raagangal(1975), in which she acted opposite the then-rising stars and now superstars of Tamil films, Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan, virtually changed her life. In the film she acted as the wife of Rajinikanth and as the lover of Kamal Haasan. She fell in love with Kamal Haasan during the making of the film. They had the support of their families, but they broke up. Later she fell in love with George Thomas, an assistant director in her Malayalam film Teekkanal She married him on 1978 January 9, despite opposition from her family. As George wished, she was baptised before the marriage. She wanted to stay as a housewife, but had to return to acting, when George forced her to, citing financial issues. She soon realised that she made a wrong decision in marrying him. Her family life became miserable and the marriage ended in divorce. It was followed by a prolonged legal battle to settle financial issues between the two. The case went up to the Supreme Court of India, where she won the final decisionAfter the divorce, she left Chennai and settled in Trivandrum.Srividya was a good singer as well. She first sang for films in the Malayalam film Ayalathe Sundari. She later sang in several films, such as Oru Painkilikkadha and Nakshathra tharattu. She was an expert classical vocalist as well. She used to sing in functions such as the Soorya Festival.Srividya's later career was marked with her signature mother roles, the most notable of which was probably in Thalapathi(1991), directed by Manirathnam, in which she acted as the mother of Rajinikanth, who acted as her husband in Apoorva Raagangal(1975). In October 31, 1990 Srividya's mother M. L. Vasanthakumari died, which devastated her. She later began acting in Malayalam and Tamil TV serials. She was part of superhit Malayalam serials like Swapnam. In 2003, she underwent a biopsy test following physical problems and was tested positive for breast cancer. She underwent treatment for three years. In October 2006, she underwent chemotherapy, but cancer had already spread throughout her body. On 19 October 2006 at 7:55 pm she died.

He has appeared in over four hundred movies. His dominating screen presence & booming voice made him stand out amongst a sea of actors.
He played character roles and was well-known as a villain. He had a striking bass voice, the ability to extend his eyes widely out of their eyelids during climatic scenes and an outsize acting style that made him a convincing villain in even the most melodramatic movies.

He attracted a great deal of attention for his work 1987 hit, film Mr. India, directed by Shekhar Kapur. He played the evil Mogambo, who encouraged his underlings with the phrase, Mogambo khush hua (Mogambo is pleased). The phrase became very popular and remains one of his most famous dialogues.
He became a staple of Bollywood films in the 1980s playing mostly villainious roles. He also went on to play many positive supporting roles, including his famous role as Baldev Singh in the Indian blockbuster Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge (1995).
While he is best known for his work as a villain, he has also played the "good guy" at times. He was a kind-hearted American businessman in Pardes (1997) and a genial grandfather in the film Chori Chori Chupke Chupke (2001).
His last film was Kisna: The Warrior Poet. The film was released a few days after his death.
He is known to international audiences for his roles as Khan in Richard Attenborough's Gandhi (1982) and as the main antagonist Mola Ram in the Steven Spielberg's Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984).

A KODANDA RAMI RAEDDY |
Kondandi Rami Reddy disclosed 38 secret steps to turn him out as successful Director. There was a talk that whoever climbs 38 steps of Kranti Kumar's office would be successful in his career. Dasari and Raghavendra Rao are examples of climbing these steps. I happened to be third person and turned out to be successful Director. Even Kranthi Kumar turned out to be successful having climbed those steps, that turned out to be sentiment. This is sentimental reason behind his success.Kodanda Rami Reddy said, "Till now, I have directed 92 films with various heroes in which 25 are with Chiranjeevi.

MEENA |
Meena Durairaj ( is one of the most successful actresses in South Indian cinema. Meena was born on September 16, 1974, in Chennai, India. Her mother Raja Mallika who is a politician belonging to Congress Party is also a former actress. She became heroine in a very young age when she was studying 8th std, she was just 12 or 13yrs old. But the characters she made is really a matured one, though the 'cute' and 'sweet little girl' performed very well in all her characters. This made her most successful heroine and she is well known for her 'beautiful eyes', 'charming smile' and 'sweet baby voice'.
Meena started her career as a the child artist in Tamil films. She acted with Harikrishna and Kamal Haasan, and later became a the star in her own right. She had hits with Muthu, Ejaman, Veera and Avvai Shanmughi. Following the release of her movies with Rajinikanth in Japan and their commercial success, Meena's popularity also rose in Japan. She has acted in almost all the south Indian languages like Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada etc and opposite almost all the leading actors in these languages. Her first film as a child artist was 'Nenjangal' with Sivaji Ganesan. She was in the film industry as the top heroine in Telugu and Tamil for almost one and a half decades successfully from the early 1990s. She often portrayed characters with unidimensional personality with no negativity and shades of grey. She was also known to be limited as a glamorous actress though she acted in a few glamourous roles like Maaman magal in Tamil opposite Sathyaraj and Muta Mestri in Telugu opposite Chiranjeevi. She has also acted in Malayalam movies. In the Kannada remake of Autograph, she played Sneha's role of Divya. Then she got her MA (Geography)degree from University of Madras through open university system. Currently she is acting in one Tamil serial. Her close friends are actresses Maheswari, Ramba, Sanghavi and Roja. Roja and Meena, in their younger age, resembled each other so much. In fact Meena has acted as Roja's younger sister at least in 5 or 6 movies in Telugu. Even in peak of their competition when they acted together, Roja & Meena have been thick friends. When the make up artist failed to turn up at a remote village in Kakinada during the movie shoot of "Bobbili Simham" in 1994, its known that Roja did Meena's hairstyles for those two days for a song involving Meena and much appreciated by Meena herself.official website of Meena - Says her date of birth September 16, 1979.(!).
