Latest edition of Santosham film awards was held a star studded venue in HICC (Novotel) on the night of 21 August 2009. The crowds were humongous for this function and the management couldn't able to control the mob.
Krishna, Chiranjeevi, Bala Krishna, Ram Charan Teja, Srikanth, Manoj Manchu, Sushant, Taraka Ratna, Srihari, Rama Naidu, Murali Mohan, Ambika Krishna, Rajamouli, Rama Rajamouli, Trivikram Srinivas, Chota K Naidu, Siva Reddy, Raasi, Kausha, Rajitha, Hema, Vijaya Nirmala, Kavitha, Anitha, Sanjana, Vimala Raman, Puri Jagan, Naga Suseela, Chintalapudi Srinivasa Rao, KS Rama Rao, VV Vinayak, Baba Sehgal, Sneha Ullal, LB Sreeram, Raksha, Koti, Kasi Viswanath, Devi Sri Prasad, Sindhu Tolani, Ali, Santhi, Allu Arvind, Chakri, MS Narayana, Meher Ramesh etc attended it.
Chiranjeevi said, “I like hardworking people. I knew Santosham Suresh since the days when he was film reporter. He grew from there and became a media owner and instituted awards and given them regularly like Filmfare. I am very fond of film industry. Though I left the industry and went into politics, you blessed by son Ram Charan Teja. You have been encouraging Pawan Kalyan and Allu Arjun as well. I am indebted to Telugu film lovers.”
Bala Krishna said, “My father did Panduranga Mahatyam. I acted in the remake of it. It is a risky proposition to do such movies in the current scenario. It will be a memorable incident for me to get Santosham award for my performance in that movie."
Krishna said, “I knew Santosham Suresh since his days at Krishna Patrika. He became big and giving away awards on behalf of his magazine Santosham. Ramoji Rao used to give Sitara awards at point of time. Santosham Suresh is maintaining similar standards.”
