Shooting in Australia and Hyderabad - Nagababu

We are using 'Orange' as working title for this movie. But the title is not official yet. Ram Charan Teja doesn't want to be typecast as a mass hero after the stupendous success of Magadheera. Hence he choose a subject of different genre. At the same time there will be a bit of action elements in this movie. The shooting will start in November in Hyderabad. We will go to Australia to shoot in December and January. Rest of the movie will be shot in Hyderabad later."
It's a feel good movie - Bommarillu Bhaskar
Bhaskar said, "It is a big responsibility to direct Ram Charan Tej after Magadheera. I am confident of fulfilling my responsibility. I was not tensed after watching Magadheera film. I felt that I am safe. The script of this movie will project Ram Charan Tej in entirely different way. It will be a good entertainer and a feel-good movie.I got good technical team and a supportive producer in the form of Nagababu. I am looking for hat-trick for me and Ram Charan with this movie."
Fabulous script and a challenging role - Ram Charan Tej
Ramcharan Tej said, "We decided on this project after 40 days of shoot of Magadheera movie. I knew that Magadheera would be a mass entertainer and I didn't want to remain as mass hero. That was the reason why I was particular that Bhaskar should direct my third movie. I want to do films from all genres. It's a fabulous script and challenging role for me. I hope that I will justify the script. This film will have all popular entertainment. Kiran Reddy who did cinematography for Ram Gopal Varma's Naach is doing for this movie. I am extremely comfortable with Nagababu outside my family members and spending time with him relieves you of all the stress. I am happy to be working in Anjana Productions."
Harris Jayaraj composes music. Kiran Reddy handles camera, Anand Sai is the art director. Marthand Venkatesh edits the movie. Thota Prasad is the dialogue writer.

Story
A typical family treat, the story begins with Subbalakashmi (Poonam) who is in love with Babu and as expected her marriage gets fixed with someone else. This is arranged by Subbalakshmi's father Neelakanta (Prakashraj) without knowing his daughter's feelings. As expected, she elopes with her lover right on the day of the marriage much to the embarrassment of Neelakanta. Now, he starts his hunt for the two and in this process that they have been helped by local boys of the village and also a few from the city.
One among the city happens to be Krishna (Allu Arjun) who is basically a street smart guy but with no activity or career to pursue. Neelakanta and his men manage to kidnap Krishna and the other friends involved in the eloping mission (Sunil, Srinivas Reddy, Chitram Seenu) and all of them are brought to the village. They are accommodated at an out house of sorts which is next to Neelakanta's house and he promises to release them all once the love birds are located. Neelakanta sets out on his search and meanwhile Krishna is smitten by Meena's (Sheila) charms. He is busy trying to woo her and finally manages to win her heart. Much to his dismay, he discovers that she is none other than Neelakanta's second daughter. What happens from here forms the rest of the story.
The director has come across with a clean subject about love and the clash of ideology between the elders and the younger generation again. His narration is good and has come up with a mature presentation of the subject. He has been well supported by some good background score and the cinematography captured the emotions correctly. The script is soft and the screenplay is technically good. All other departments have done a standard job. Allu Arjun has come up in a very different shade this time and it is more of his acting skills that are put to test than anything else, Sheila has come in a deglamorised role and yet again it is the acting quotient that has to be considered, Poonam Bajwa is pretty but her role is limited. The real stunner with a powerhouse performance is Prakashraj who portrays the anguish of a girl's father in a perfect way. Full marks to him, the others like Sunil, Srinivas Reddy came out with decent performances and got some tickles and the rest of the cast have done upto the mark performances.
The technical values, the subject and other aspects are fine but the question of truth is will the audience have the heart to digest Allu Arjun as a character actor than an action packed mass character. This is a conflicting revelation to the audience who goes in with some real fire and end up tasting water. The only chance to bring the film out of crisis would be if the movie works like a slow poison like Bhaskar's 'Bommarillu'. The movie will not appeal to the hot blooded youth in any way and will find its place in the hearts of girls' fathers. There are points in the movie which have given a confusing stand as to who is the real hero, Arjun or Prakashraj. It is very hard for the movie to sustain commercially but will please the class audience.

Though Vikram had done many Malayalam and Telugu films before he became a star in Tamil Nadu, he has still not got the right script to do a Telugu film.
The buzz is that now everything seems to have fallen in place. Bommarillu Bhaskar, who is now busy with Parugu starring Allu Arjun, has been entrusted with the script. “Bhaskar has impressed Vikram with the basic script,” states a source.
The film is set to start shooting in July 2008 and will be produced by Chatrapathi Prasad, who is on good terms with Vikram.

MEGA STAR LAUNCHED THE PARUGU AUDIO |
Megastar Chiranjeevi released the music of Parugu, the latest film of his nephew and stylish star Allu Arjun. He presented the first cassette to Prakash Raj. The colorful event, coinciding with the birthday of Allu Arjun, was held at Rock Gardens in Durgam cheruvu, Hyderabad. Produced by Dil Raju, directed by Bommarillu Bhaskar, the flick has music by Mani Sharma. The lead cast and crew of the film attended the function.
Chiranjeevi Speaks :
It is a pleasure to come to this audio function. If we look at the history of Telugu films we can see the variations of the trends. In the begining we used to have Directors films, then Production houses and later music directors and now we are back to the directors. which is a healthy trend. As every one know Bhaskar who proved himself with the Bommarillu, there is no doubt that he made this films also well. Added to that the producer Dhil Raju who has a good taste and known for the sensible scripts is a big strength to this film.
Bunny is good dancer and the tunes for the film helps a lot for his energitic dances. Manisharma who gave musical hits to me also gave the wonderful music to this film. Added to this we have the actor-whizard Prakash Raj who gave sterling performance. With all this combinations falling into the place, I have no doubt about the films sucess" said Chiranjeevi.
Prakash Raj speaks :
"I am thankful to Dil Raju and Bhaskar for giving me the best role in this film. It is the story of each and every father, who has a daughter. Life will come alive on the screen. I acted with Bunny in his debut film Gangotri. Before he was a hero, he used to come to the sets and watch me constantly. When I asked him why he did so, he said – Dad asked me to do so. There is a lot of difference and growth from Bunny's Aarya and this film. He would simply rock."
Director Bhaskar said: "This is my second film. I took great care in preparing the script. Songs and music by Manisharma have come out well. I am sure, this film will entertain all sections of the audiences like my debut film Bommarillu."
Dhil Raju speaks :
This is the sixth film in my banner. Incidentally it is sixth film for Bunny too. After hearing the story, Chiranjeevi garu encouraged a lot and this is the first time Manisharma is doing a film in our banner, who gave wonderful music. This film will give much needed break to Sheela and gets lot of applause for Bunny for his performance.
Allu Arjun :
Thanked every one who attended the function and wished him on his birthday. He said he is expecting the best actor award with this film or atleast the best actor nominee award for his performance for this film. He thanked the lightsman and cranemans who worked hard for the film. He said Manisharma gave wonderful tunes and the film will be a big sucess. Actress Sheela, Ananth Sriram etc graced the occassion.
