He was born on 15-09-1900 at Tenali. He entered into stage drama in 1920s.From1932 he acted in nearly 12 films.He was very famous for the characters Arjuna, Bhavani shankar, vengalaraya, Bharatha and nakshatraka.He was very famous for "Bhilvamangala" character in "Chintamani" drama
