Birthday Wishes To Ramya Krishna From ET



The glamour queen actress Smt Ramya Krishna is celebrating her birthday today (15th September). Age seemed to have never touched the ever young heroine who has completed a monumental time span of 23 years in the film industry. She holds a rare phenomenon of acting in all the five languages of the South Indian cinema in more than 200 films.

The actress is skilled in Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi with various stage performances that made her debut in to cinema with “Vellai Manasu” in Tamil opposite Y.G. Mahendran at an early age of 13. The film “Sankeerthana” starring Nagarjuna saw Ramyakrishna as a debutant in the Telugu industry directed by Radhakrishna of `Kokila` fame. Her stylish elegance and glamorous style got her wide acknowledgement and fame. The film that displayed her eminence among the many versatile roles she did is “Narasimha” starring Rajinikanth. Neelambari, an adamant anti heroine played by Ramya Krishna lingers in the mind even after years which stands as the apt example that exhibits her prowess in acting. A noteworthy mention about the actress is, she is the niece of the popular Tamil actor and political critic Cho Ramaswamy. Ramyakrishna has bagged a special jury award for her performance in 'Kante Kuturne Kanali', besides two Nandi Awards from the State Government.

Versatility is her devotional mantra which she proves by starring as a dynamic and glamorous mother-in-law in 'Na Alludu' and now as a police officer in 'Hero' alongside Nitin who plays the lead. Presently the yester year yet young actress is doing prominent roles in 'Sarkar' with Nagababu in lead and with Krishna Baghawan in 'Mr. Gireesham'.
