22, MARCH: Hytex and Hyderabad witnessed the most prestigious cinema award function of Telugu film industry. Telugu Cinemaa awards 2008 were given away in a function which was held in great pomp and show and also to which all the big wigs of telugu cinema attended.
These cine maa awards are special because the awards are given away based on the audience or viewers choice. The viewers send sms and select the winner. The one who recieves the maximum number of sms emerges as the winner in any catogery.

Ram Charan Tej was awarded with best debut hero for his performance in his first film Chirutha by Cine-MAA Awards committee.
Megastar Chiranjeevi received the award in a function being held in Hytex , Hyderabad today evening,22nd March, on behalf of Ramcharan as Charan is in Rajasthan for his second film shoot.
