Singeetam trained in direction department from famous Harindranath Chatopadyaya. Singeetam then worked as assistant director with KV Reddy from 1954 for films like Donga Ramudu, Mayabazar etc. He later on became a director and directed about 60 films in various languages including Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi, English. He won many awards for his work including Rastrapati, Nandi and LV Prasad among many.
