Nandi Awards For 2007 Announced : Mee Sreyobhilashi is The Best Movie

Nandi Awards for 2007 are announced and asusually some are reasonable and some are shocking (absolutely shocking I request Jury members to use some of their brains). As there were not so many great movies in 2007 the awards are given for various movies and no movie got more than 2-3 awards.Here Early Tollywood presents Nandi Awards List and Analysis....

Best Movie Category :

First Place : Mee Sreyobhilashi

Second : Happy Days

Third : Lakshyam

Analysis :

Best Pick. Though the script was a copy of Hollywood movie, director did a good job.Thats it for the first best. But Second and third positions are absolutely disastrous. I was surprised Dhee and Okkadunnadu does not make into top three. And the other movie which I think , above all these movies is JAGADAM which was a Dud at Box Office. Probably our audiencce are not yet ready to accept such scripts. But Lakshyam is not at all deserved when compared to Dhee and Okkadunnadu.


Best Actor : Venkatesh for AMAV (Adavari Matalaku Arthale Verule)

Analysis :

Ya the jury members would have thought reasonably well to give the award to Venkatesh.If you observe AMAV it may be of the same old Venky's Sentiment but Venky did brilliantly.He should have gotten some competition from Rajendra Prasad for Mee Sreyobhilashi but his Top HERO Tag made him got the award.


Best Actress : Charmi for Mantra

Analysis :

2007 made a mark regarding actress category.Heroine oriented movies made an impression and did well at box office which include Mantra and Anasuya. Charmi wouldnt have experienced any competition except from Bhumika.




Best Family Movie : Chandamama

Analysis :

Again a bit inconvincing.Isn't it? We had Happy Days and Dhee , biggest hits of 2007. I dont think AMAV deserves this award


Best Director : Krishna Vamsy (Chandamama)

Analysis :

Since Sonia Reddy of Mee Sreyobhilashi is a debutant , he is out of race.But again a tough competition between Shekhar Kammula , Sreenu Vytla, Chandrasekhar Yeleti and Krishna Vamsy. I would prefer Shekhar Kammula since a director is who makes his mark even though Krishna Vamsy made his mark .When compared to Happy Days it loses the race, but its reverse now.Krishna Vamsy won the race.


Best Music Director : Mickey J Meyer (Happy Days)

Analysis :

Best Supporting Actor : Jagapathi Babu (Lakshyam)

Analysis :

Better Pick. No doubt he is one of the talented actors in Tollywood.


Best Character Actor: Ahuthi Prasad (Film: Chandamama)

Analysis :

Best Pick. Every one who have watched Chandamama will talk about Ahuthi Prasad's character. He really used the slang very well and the ease with which he has done the character is great.


Allu Ramalingaiah Award for Best Comedian Actor: Uttej (Film: Chandamama)

Analysis :

Absolute Blunder and Shocking. What the hell of comedy did he do in Chandamama? I request the jury members to see Dhee and I think they might have skipped the movie. Brahmanandam is the GOD of Comedy in Telugu cinema and we all remember CHARY character in Dhee forever.


Best Comedian Actress: Jhansi (Film: Thulasi)

There is an award it should be given to someone.Jhansi is that someone.


Best Villain: Murali Sharma (Film: Athidhi)

Analysis :

Best Pick. The plot and the way the villain was shown in Athidi was a copy from a hollywood master piece Usual Suspects. But Murali Sharma did the role well. Since there were less hits from big heroes no villain got reputation.


Best Screenpaly Writer: Srinu Vaitla (Film: Dhee).

Analysis :

Best Pick.One of the intelligent scripts. And the way the movie goes you wont get bored even for a single minute.Sreenu Vytla deserves the award.


Best Story Writer: Balabhadra Patruni Ramani (Film: Madhumasam)

Comment :

I dont know how many of you agree with me, seriously tollywood lacks the story part of the movie. Eventhough we had hits the main reason is due to Taking of the movie. Thats why Madhumasam which was a novel may be a good choice.


Ghantasala Venkateswara Rao Award for Best Male Playback Singer: Karthik (Film: O my friend: Song-Happy Days

Best Choreographer (Dance): Noble (Film: Desamuduru: Song-Sathe..Ye..Godava Ledu)

Analysis :

Another Shocker. If you observe without any partial feelings the award should be given to Prem Rakshit for Yamadonga. The song they awarded Sathe Ye Godava Ledhu.. what a blunder? Do you remember any special step from Desamuduru I bet you dont, Because there were not any great ones.Whereas Yamadonga , yes you can count. So another blunder.


Best Audiographer: Radha Krishna (Film: Manthra)

Comment :

Mantra team wanted to scare the people. Thats their main aim.Ya they succeeded which means most of the credit goes to audiographer so he deserves it.
