Jayanth, son of former hero Bhanuchandar and music director Venu’s grandson, is debuting with Chedugudu, produced by Bhimineni Tirupataiah and K. Nagi Reddy under Smiles Movies banner. The movie is being directed by P.R. Nagaraju, who worked as Nidhi Prasad’s assistant director. Kovai Sarala is the presenter.
Chakri has scored the music. The debutant heroine, Swetha, is a Chennai-based student. The director said, “The movie is about how the game 'chedugudu' is played again after a gap of over two decades, in Venkatrajapuram village. Watch the movie to find out why. It is a full-length comedy entertainer.”
Jayanth has a degree in Visual Communication and has trained extensively in film acting and martial arts under his father’s supervision. The film was launched away from the media’s eye, with the opening shot filmed on Brahmanandam and Kovai Sarala.
The regular shoot has already started and most of the important scenes and a few songs will be wrapped up within 50 days.
Naresh, Ali, M.S. Narayana, Suman Shetty, Nagababu and Sayaji Shinde are the supporting cast. Dialogues are by Veligonda Srinivas.
The producers plan to release it for Dasara.
