It is a comeback of sorts for Telugu heroine charming Charmi .
The buxom actress, who reigns supreme in neighbouring Telugu film world is back in Kollywood after a big gap.
The film which is the comeback vehicle for Charms is titled ‘Ladam’ and directed by Prabhu Solomon.
No wonder, the saucy belle is thrilled to the bits about her comeback to Tamil films.
After all, she began her cinematic debut in Tamil way back with a film titled ‘Kadal Azhivadillai’. Then followed hits like ‘Aha Ethanai Azhagu’ and ‘Kadhal Kisu Kisu’.
Then she hopped over to neighbouring Tollywood and queened it over there for a long time.
Now that Charmi is back in Kollywood, she is expected to give a tough fight to top Tamil heroines like Asin , Nayantara and Bhavana .
The rumour is that the Charmi is playing the role of a female gangster, and has 5 top south Indian villains opposite her!
There are many gangster films in Hindi. In Tamil, no gangster films, only one man army types. Prabhu Solomon's 'Laadam' is a gangster film. The 3 villains are Kotta Sreenivasa Rao, Dheeraj Kher and Babu Antony. Charmi is also one of that gang.
Produced by Chozha Creations, music is by Dharan. A German made Tripov camera, probe lens and such new technical equipment are to be used for 'Laadam.'
The smart move by Prabhu Solomon is to sign on Gave Mick Harry, who has worked with prominent cameramen like PC Sriram and Ravi K Chandran, as cinematographer.
