Place of birth: Pangidi, West Godavari District.

Father's Name: Krishna Rao (Doctor).

Film Carrier: She started her film carrier as a singer and actor. Her first film was 'Anasuya' in 1936. In this film she played title role at the age of 12 years. As a heroin her first film was "Kuchadevayani" in 1938. 'Gollabhama', 'Lakshmamma' are her hit films. In the film 'Tirugubatu' she played negative role. Her last picture is 'Sahasam" in 1952. In that days she got highest remunaration, Rs/-45,000, the film 'Dharmangada'.

As a Producer: She established 'M.R.A.Productions (Meka Rajyalakshmi Anuradha), in 1949. 'Mana Desam' is M.R.A.Productions first film. She introduced N.T.R. to film industry by the film 'Mana Desam'. She also introduced P.Leela(singer), Ramesh Naidu(Music Director), Yerra Apparao(director), Vijayakumar(Hero) to film industry.

Family Life: She married to Producer & Director Mr. Mirzapur Raja in 1939. After marriage she acted only through their own productions. She has a daughter Meka Rajyalakshmi Anuradha, in 1942.
